Peur(s) du noir

If I can maintain this level of intensity in my degree project as this trailer does, I will be a happy cat. Joyce Carol Oates' short story "_______ (Black Box)" is beautiful and disturbing at the same time and I want to blow this wide open! One of the amazing visual techniques she uses to illustrate memory erased/blocked out is using black lines over the actual text as if they have been censored. As the tension in the story increases and the young girl becomes more frightened, the more disjointed and blacked out the story becomes. There is no title, where you would expect it there is a censorious black rectangle, a "black box".
